A captivating decor centerpiece, this Glaoui tribal rug features hand-knotted and hand-embroidered designs in brick red, henna, gold, slate blue, and brown on an ivory background. It was expertly crafted by Berber women of the Moroccan Atlas Mountains with skills passed down from mother to daughter. In traditional Glaoui style, the rug incorporates three techniques: hand-weaving, hand-knotting, and hand-embroidery. Warp threads are woven at one end, fringed at the other. Truly a work of art, this piece is stunning as a wall hanging or rug. I suggest the use of a non-skid pad under the rug.
It measures 78″L X 57.5″W excluding the fringe.
